"Ketches of South Australia" by Ronald Parsons describes "Thistle" as a wooden 2 masted schooner of 28 ton. She had 1 deck, a square stern and was built in 1843 in Sydney. Vessel was registered in Port adelaide in Jan 1865 by Joseph Johnston, and was wrecked at Cape Jervis on March 3 1866.
