Wooden single screw syteamship tug "Vigilant". Official Number 106222. Built in 1899 by Dunn Brothers, Berry's Bay, North Sydney. Ran a steam engine, 35hP and had a speed of 11.5 knots. Owners: J Fenwick, 1900 - A Fenwick and 3 others, 1908 - Millar's Karri & Jarrah Co ltd (of WA although ship remains registered in Sydney) later Timber & Trading Co Ltd, 1913/14 - Ritch and Smith of Port Adelaide, 1924 - registered in Port Adelaide. Register closed 1951, vessel broken up. Dimensions - length 95'1", breadth 21'7", draught 9'8" This image shows vessel in a harbour with other ships behind it.
