Passenger Vessel "Orcades", built by Vickers Armstrong in Barrow-In-Furness, England and launched on 1 December 1936 by Mrs I.C. Geddes. Vessel was completed in July 1937 and had her inaugural voyage on 9 December 1937 from London - Brisbane. She was commandeered as a troopship in 1939, torpedoed and sunk off the Cape of Good Hope in 1942.
