Tug "Yatala", an iron paddle wheel steamship, built in 1877 by Blackwood & Gordon at Port Glasgow. She had 1 deck a cutter rig and elliptic stern, and was owned by the Adelaide Steam tug Co Ltd. In Oct 1911 she was osld to H.J. Bell and in April 1912 her engine was removed and register closed. In 1918 she was re-registered as a 3 masted schooner rigged sailing ship named "Thuraka" owned by Hugh Jno Bell. She was transferred to Melbourne In August 1920 and wrecked upon Actaeon Reef, Tasmania at 2am on Jume 8th 1929 while under tow of S.S. "Gundiah" en route to Recherche bay. Official Number: 74798 Tonnage: 287 gross, 107 net Dimensions; length 144'9", breadth 23'2", draught 12'4" Machinery: 2 surface cond.
