Government trooping charter cancelled December 1962; laid up in Falmouth. Bought by Sitmar Line and refitted at Schiedam 1963-4; renamed FAIRSTAR and registered in Liberia. F.V. Southampton-Australia, 19 May 1964; alternate homeward voyages via Panama.
