Passenger vessel "Medic" built in 1899 bby Harland & Wolff, Belfast for White Star Line. She operated the route between the UK and Australia via the Cape of Good Hope. On 3 August 1899 she took her first voyage and in 1917 was commandeered as a troopship. In 1920 she resumed service and in 1928 was sold to N Bugge, converted to a whaling factory ship and renamed "Hektoria". In 1939 she was commandeered as an oil tanker and in 1942 was torpedoed and sunk in the North Atlantic.
