Passenger Liner "Queen Elizabeth 2", built in 1969 by Upper Clyde Shipbuilders Clydebank DIV - Clydebank.  Owned by Cunard Line Ltd.  This liner was the first which was built to combine the tasks of Transatlantic passenger service and holiday cruise ship.

This liner was the first which was built to combine the tasks of Transatlantic passenger service and holiday cruise ship. During the Falkland Island Operations of 1982 she was used by the ministry of defence as a fast troopship to ferry an entire brigade 8,000 miles (12875 Km) non stop to the fighting front.
