M.V. "Yandra", built in 1928 at Copenhagen by Burmeister & Wain for Coast Steamships Ltd. Is a steel single screw cargo motor vessel with the official number - 137241. Vessel had a gross tonnage of 990. Apart from service with the Royal Australian Navy from May 1940 until July 1946, she spent her whole life on the west coast trade until she was wrecked off South Neptune Island on 24th January, 1959, during a thick fog. This image taken of vessel loading for the last time at Streaky Bay before sinking in 1959.
