"Ketches of South Australia" by R Parsons describes "Coringle" as a Schooner built in 1909 by Woodleys Ltd, Berry's Bay, North Sydney with a standard gas engine. In 1922 she was registered at Port adelaide but was formerly in Sydney. Owners - 1922 J A Olse & others, later Le Messurier and JA Olsen, then Austral Plaster Co. Vessel was requisitioned by the Commonwealth in World war 2 and then re registered at Port Adelaide in 1946 by R Fricker & Co Ltd and others, when she was also fitted with twin auxilliary motors. In 1969 she was owned by Gulf Shipping Co and was operating out of Darwin. Finally abandoned in Darwin and covered by reclamation works near the slipway of Perkins and Company. Dimensions - length 105'7", breadth 24'0", draught 6'4".
