Under Captain Jones, the vessel left Sydney on 8 January 1847, and New Zealand, on a sandalwood voyage. The vessel was wrecked off Efate Island, New Hebrides, 22 April 1847. The Master and most of the crew were murdered by natives. The last of the survivors were rescued by the Clarkstone, a whaling ship of Sydney under the captaincy of Captain Nixon.
