Wrecked on Minicoy Reef, Laccadive Islands on 19/11/1862 whilst en route Galle to Aden. spent 11 days on Minicoy or malacoy before rescue and onward passage in Ottawa. Cargo and mail were recovered (Lloyd's Register);
