transported c270 migrants; Master mistook Point Lookout for Moreton Bay in hazy weather & entered through the dangerous south Passage, running ashore east of Amity Point and badly damaged. Local Steamers refloated the ship and transferred passengers to Brisbane on 10/5/1856. Meanwhile pumps could not cope with flooding and ship was grounded inside the bay until it was patched up for trip to Sydney for repair, arriving 25/7/1856; Account based on Courier reports on 10/5/1856, etc critical of Captain in "Wreck'ollections", by Lance Paterson, "Sunshine Coast Sunday", Qld, 29/3/98;
