Transporting 228 Coolies and 26 Boys. Chinese mutinied after 9 days, 2nd mate killed, master and Mate injured. Crew put down insurrection. ship put into Singapore where 19 Chinese were arrested and tried at Penang. Brief account in "Sojourners", by Eric Rolls, (Qld, 1992); Reports in 'Penang Gazette", 1852-3, and Australian papers after arrival. (No Melbourne arrival recorded for 1852 but Spartan under Captain w. Allen arrived there on 10/4/1853 from Amoy and Singapore with 180 Coolies;
