Arthur Bastable was my Great Great Grandfather. He worked as a Hospital Assistant to the Surgeon Superintendent during the voyage. He and his 2nd wife sailed for Melbourne almost immediately after arrival on "Flora" and soon after that for Sydney where his 6th child and their 2nd was born 9 July 1855. He was from Mallow County Cork Ireland and settled in the suburb of Ashfield in Sydney. Please contact me if you would like more information.
