Mr. William DAVIS

This is my ancestor who brought my family to Australia. He was a former British solider of the 3rd Battalion of the 14th Foot which fought at the Battle of Waterloo in 1814. He later served in India until 1831 with same regiment but different battalion. He lived until his late 90s. A letter to the editor detailed his career in the Register newspaper in 1880/81.
