Mr. John DENT

This William Dent along with his wife Eleanor and sons Joseph, John and William and daughter Ann all came out on the Orleana arriving on the 10th June 1840. There is a copy of the booking record to confirm this and also entries in a book called A Free Passage to Paradise compiled by Pat Button. It is also confirmed by the SAG that this family was not on the John. The Mr Dent who was on this ship in the cabin was the ships doctor who returned to England according to the diary kept by Richard Ellis.
