This William Dent is my ancestor and it has been shown that he and his wife and family came on the Orleana arriving 10th June 1840. His wife Ellenor along with his four sons and daughter were with them. The children were Joseph, John, William and Ann. According to SAG the only Dent aboard the John was the ships doctor Mr Dent occupying a cabin. He returned to England
