Anne Lovelock (nee GLASS) was married to George Lovelock in Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire on 14 June 1826. They and several of their children boarded the Prince Regent on June 5, 1839 to start a new life in the recently proclaimed settlement of South Australia. After a voyage of over three and a half months, during which 23 deaths were reported, the family landed in Port Adelaide on 24 September, 1839. Anne and George lived initially at Reedbeds, where they had two more children, and eventually settled in the fledgling community of Aldinga, where they began farming and had more children. Their sons and daughters grew up in that farming community and married and had families of their own. There are numerous descendants of this family in South Australia and beyond.
