Family came from England and initially settled in Yorke Peninsula. Came across to Cowell, Eyre Peninsula and farmed in the hills near by. Then they moved to Tuckey Tanks in the middle of the Eyre Peninsula where they farmed, ran the post office, telephone exchange and were very active farmers of the community. My great Grandmother had 13 children and one of the thirteen was my Grandmother.
