Mr. George MALIPHANT

George Maliphant, a master mason from Lougher, Wales, followed in his father's footsteps to build smelters for Australia's mining industries. His father and sister had come to Adelaide two years earlier when his father was commissioned to build the smelters at the English and Australian Copper Company. He went onto have a very distinguished career and built many smelters in Australia. His desendents still reside there.
