Jabez John Jennings Born 13/6/1859 High Field, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England (24 years old) was the Baker on the ELLORA which departed Plymouth, England 1883 arriving in Sydney on 17/10/1883.
Jabez spent the rest of his life in North Queensland opening Bakeries in Barcaldine 1894-1900, Kidston 1808-1912, Einasleigh 1912 and finally at Edmonton 1919-1930. He passed away at the Cairns Hospital on 23 November 1938.
