The Ancona was sold to Hajee Cassam Joosub in Bombay in 1899. The Ancona was renamed Taher. My great grand father came to Mauritius, from Surat, India, on board that steamship in 1900. Its last voyage was to Mauritius and was wrecked near Port Louis in 1901.
