Hain Steam Ship Co.Ltd. (P&O mgr), reg. London. 1944 Nov.24: Sunk by the Japanese cruiser Tone by gunfire. Her commander rescued the crew of 80, but his orders were to take no prisoners and 65 were killed before the order was rescinded. The captain of Tone was later imprisoned as a war criminal.
