I believe the Buckinghamshire was a migrant ship. It appears that my great grandparents travelled from India to Mauritius sometime in 1840s exact date unknown .Could you help me by letting me know how many trips it did to Mauritius and the dates?

My great great grandfather sailed UK to Bombay on the Buckinghamshire, in 1829 according to records from Families in British India society records. He was with 1st battalion artillery. Is there any way of confirming this?

If the associated picture is of the Buckinghamshire it is evident that she was a SHIP not a Barque (as records do say) as indicated by the cross-arms on the 3rd mast for squaresails. Barques had varieties of triangular sails on that mast and needed less crew.
