Taken up by the Royal Navy to proceed to the United Kingdom for war salvage work. Delivery voyage, Brisbane 12 January 1940 to Townsville to Darwin to Batavia to Colombo to Aden to Suez to Malta to Gibraltar, convoy to Liverpool, 17 April 1940, where she was lost in an air raid a few weeks later.
