Copied from TROVE Friday 15 May 1891 p 5 (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) BRISBANE, Thursday. WRECK OF THE CULGOA.. The steamer CULGOA was wrecked upon the north beach, Noosa, last night. No lives no were lost. The boat was engaged in the timber trade, and only carried a few passengers. The CULGOA was a composite built paddle steamer, of 68 tons gross register. She was built at Port Adelaide in 1865, and for thepast few years has been owned by Mr. A. F. Luya, timber merchant, of Brisbane. CAPTAIN A GOODALL was in command.
