Over a number of years I carried out research into an old destroyer who served on the China Station at the time of the Second World War. During that time I managed to collect two photographs of the Eastern Saga and wondered whether they would be of interest to any one. One is postcard size, the other slightly larger. I have no other information I'm afraid. Look forward to hearing from you.

I sailed as 3rd Officer aboard the M.V Eastern Saga from 4/5/1960 to 01/04/1961 this ship was built in Holland by it was said slave labour by the Germans in WWII. There were many strange happenings aboard and the big northern Chinese crew would only go about in twos after dark. My relief saw apparitions and signed off - I also saw strange things and also abnormal things like fire alarms going off without reason. An ODD SHIP.
