EMPIRE GRACE

I sailed on the Empire Grace as a child in 1944. My father had gone to the U.S.A (at the request of the Government) to work on the atom bomb and he requested his family be allowed to join him in Oak Ridge. During the voyage I used to go down into the crew quarters and I watched a crew member make a model of the ship. I still have the model. After the war we migrated to Australia where I now live.
