LALLA ROOKH

My ancestors arrive in Australia on this ship in 1841 from England as Bounty immigrants. William(Mantell ) WOODLAND with his wife Mary Ann and six children with another born on the voyage. They acquired land in the Port Macquarie Settlement of N.S.W . His second youngest son, who was born in the settlement was Richard Mantell Woodlands. He farmed the land and later bought a general store and also preached the gospel in the Wesleyan Church and was Sunday School Superintendent. He became a councillor for many years and also Mayor for 1 year. I am William and Mary Ann's, Great, Great Granddaughter
