My father told me he arrived in Sydney from London when he was 8 with his parents and five siblings. He didn't tell me the name of the ship. After a long search I now hold the indent of the Printz Regent Luitpold which arrived in Sydney on 7th Feb 1897. As my father was born in Feb 1889 this falls in with his age of arrival. My grandfather was Henry Joseph Valentine. He's shown listed with his wife and six children. The children's sexes and names don't match but its possible it was written in haste and left to the purser to write in the names. Your list of voyages doesn't include this one. Father said the ship was steam but also had sails - would that be right? The Printz came from the port of Bremen. Is it possible to track down a photo of the ship by contacting the shipping line if it still exists? I hope this may be of interest to you.
