Messageries Maritime 1883 Feb.15: Put on the Australian Service. 1883 July 19: Rescued the crew of the Consolation, wrecked in the Red Sea. 1886 Nov.29: Rammed & damaged by the City of Peking in Hong Kong, Later repaired. 1887/8: Converted to triple expansion engine & given a new boiler and electric light. 1914 Aug.: Sent to evacualte French citizens from Turkey. 1915 Nov.10: Scuttled with the old French battleship Massena at Seddul Bahl to form a mole for the Dardanelles landings.
