My great great grandmother Anne ( Dempsey) used the name Walkins was on this Ship Sir . She was accompanied by her “ brother” Patrick Walkins.... bounty refused. She married James Stanley at Parramatta in 1844. I’m so happy the ship didn’t sink on the way out here... arriving Apri 1842. “ Sir Charles Napier.. My Great Great Grandmother Anne Dempsey 1841.. From the ship report on arrival. “The ship was on fire on one occasion, which was caused by one of the Officers named Watson and two of the Immigrants going down to draw off spirits with a light when the spirits ignited. We had to rip up the deck in different places and pour down water. If it were not for the First Mate named Hargraves and one of the Immigrants we would never have come to Sydney.“
