I am probably the last person still alive who travelled from Rotterdam to Australia in 1948 on the "Talisse". I was 14.9 yearrs old at the time and travelled with my mother Helena Rippe. The voyage took several months and we made many stops on the way delivering cargo to Antwerp, Marseilles, Genoa, Mumbai, Karachi, Cochin, Colombo before stopping at Perth and Port Adelaide.
