Great Gramdmother Florence (we think her surname was Lesley?) she apparently left the ship in Durban as her friend was very unhappy with the "feel" of the ship and thought it felt "top heavy". They subsequently caught the train to Cape Town. Florence married Harry (or Henry) Ellis in Cape Town. Would love more info if available.

My mother’s family came out from Australia on the Waratah, disembarked in Durban and remained there. I’m trying to get a list of the passengers that left Australia so as to be able to trace a family tree. Can anyone help with information please? Thank you

This link below will take you to a copy of the report issued after the official inquiry into the loss of Waratah. It contains both a list of the passengers and crew aboard when she went missing. Hope this helps. https://hec.lrfoundation.org.uk/api/download/lr-faf-tb5-0166-o-waratah-1908/content/document/type/file
