Messageries Maritime. 1892 June 20: Hit and sank the schooner Famille Nombreuse in fog at Marseilles. 1894: Engine tripled. White hull (until 1905). 1911/12: Triple expansion engines & new boilers. 1912 Dec.: Back in service to Noumea but withdrawn after one voyage to replace Salazie to Madagascar. 1917 May 29: On a passage Marseilles-Port Said in convoy she was torpedoed by UC74 and sank in ten minutes. She was escorted by the French destroyer Arbalete and HMS Lily.
