The barque Vesta, 125 days from London, arrived at the Lightship anchorage on Saturday last, the 25th instant. During the latter part of the voyage the Vesta experienced three very heavy gales; in one of these, occurring near the longitude of the Cape, a clear sweep was made of the starboard bulwarks, many of the sails were split, and many spars carried away. The Vesta spoke, October 4, in lat.32° 27'S., long.1° 42'15"E., the Crown (laden with coal), from Sunderland, bound to Aden. Register 26/11/1854.
