Journey Notes
Via the Downs (4 Apr). During the passage of the Robert Morrison from London the usual weather has been experienced. Captain Thom reports the prevalence of heavy gales since rounding the Cape, in which the starboard quarter gallerywas washed away. A very fine entire horse, which was shipped in London, died on the passage, but two bulls have arrived in good condition. The following vessels have been spoken :- On April 18 in lat. 28°36', long. 19°22', the barque Refuge from Cardiff, 12 days out, bound to king George's Sound. On May 22, the Fenella, bound to Hobart Town, 47 days out, from London, in lat. 30°53', long 18°50' West. Register 10/7/1860
