From the report of Captain Parsons it appears the above barque has completed a passage of about the average number of days from England. The pilot left the vessel in the English Channel on the 21st October, and on the 25thSt.Agnes light bore N.N.E., distant 18 miles. On November 2 passed Madeira, and in 20 days after crossed the Equator. It was not until the 20 December that she rounded the Cape of Good Hope, and the paralell of St.Paul's was crossed on January 5. From this point contrary weather prevailed until the 26th of the same month, when she sighted Cape Bordaand cmpleted the passage by bringing up at the Lightship anchorage at an early hour on Tuesday morning. She arrives at a period when there will be no detention before her proceeedure into harbour, and the pilot on boarding on Tuesday remained in charge with the intention of taking the outer bar in the afternoon's tide.Register 29/1/1862
