Journey Notes
The Steinwarder arrived from Hamburg and the Cape of Good Hope (27 Aug) on Friday evening, after a passage of 45 days; the concluding 10 of which have been spent on the coast with light easterly winds and calms. She brought from Hamburg a number of immigrants of a useful class, and on calling at the Cape to land a portion of them, the vacant berths were partially taken up by passengers for Adelaide. On arrival she came to anchor at the lightship, and next morning proceeded to the North Arm, where she landed her powder, and was afterwards towed to the Port. Register (12 Oct 1863).
