The STRANGE family are ancestors of mine.
The family arrived in Port Adelaide on the barque Senator on 27 October 1849. The father was John Sida Strange (b. 1807, d. 1876 in Sale, Vic.). Mother was Priscilla Strange (m. n. Abrey or Aubrey) (b. 1801, d. 1886 in Sale, Vic.).
Nine (9) children resulted from the marriage. All the children were born in Dunton (Essex).
Henry - b. 1831. Not listed on this database and possibly died (?) before the family left London on the Senator.
Eliza - b. 1833
Priscilla - b. 1834. Not listed on this database and possibly died (?) before the family left London on the Senator.
Mary Abrey - b. 1835, d. 1894 Melbourne. Married name Miller or Millar
Elizabeth - b. 1837
John - b. 1838
Caroline - b. 1840. Not listed on this database and possibly died (?) before the family left London on the Senator.
Ellen - b. 1841
Sarah - b. 1844. The age recorded on this database is clearly an error; it should read 5 years (not 50 years!)
I believe the Strange family lived in Adelaide for 2 years before moving to Victoria, including a lengthy period of residence in Sale (east Victoria.

I am a descended from the Strange Family. Priscilla (nee Abrey) and John Sida (later Strange, then Sida-Strange) were my 3rd great grandparents. They arrived on The Senator with their children Eliza 16, Mary 14, Elizabeth 12, John 11, Ellen 8, and Sarah 5. Before they came to Australia, Priscilla and John had already lost three children - Henry 1831-1834; Priscilla 1834 - 1843; and Caroline 1840 -1841.
