Journey Notes

The Hamburg barque Heinrich, from Hamburg, has made a passage of 109 days. Her cargo, except flour packages, is entirely for Melbourne. The passengers, numbering 111 souls, will disembark here. There has been no sickness among the passengers during the voyage; but a fatal accident occurred to the carpenter, who was engaged aloft, when the topsail halyard broke and precipitated the poor fellow into the sea. The vessel was running 11 knots at the time, and though immediately hove to, all effort was of no avail. The weather encountered by the Heinrich has been of the most boisterous nature.
