The Trafalgar, after her departure, had fourteen days of heavy weather in the chops of the Channel, and experienced the like unfavourable weather for twenty one days between Cape Leuwin and our port, On the 17th June, an long. 130° 26' E., signals were exchanged with the brig Julinda, then steering N.E. Edwin Stevens was a Cornish miner, age about 26. He and his new wife, Elizabeth, sailed to Adelaide aboard the Trafalgar in 1854. From Adelaide, they journeyed across Victoria and New South Wales, having children on the way.
