This Hamburg emigrant ship arrived at an early hour yesterday morning, as elsewhere reported, the run from the Lizard having been accomplished in 91 days. The passengers are 153 in number, 75 of them bound for Melbourne. The second mate of the ship was unfortunately drowned by falling overboard, but among the emigrants not a single death occurred on the voyage; and when the mail-boat and pilot-boat came along side, the boat's crews were greeted by various lively strains of harmony and the military music of a brass band. Hanoverians, Prussians, and Holsteiners joined in expressions of gratification and delight. There had been no serious illness on the voyage, and as there were no births, the total number of emigrants was precisely the same as at the period of embarkation. Register 10/5/1855
