The Dashing Wave is a barque which arrived on Friday from San Francisco, via Sydney, having called at the later port for orders for the discharge of her cargo, which consists of timber. The captain reports much tempestuous weather during the voyage from Sydney, and when off Wilson's Promontory the Quarterboat was washed away by the violence of the sea. The foretopsail was blownto ribbons, and other minor damages sustained in the same gale. Register 8/10/1864
