Journey Notes

With German Immigrants from the barque Bielefeld, Capt.Henert, which had departed Hamburg (6 Aug) & arrived at Melbourne in November. As the Alice Brooks was coming out of Port Phillip, on Sturday, 1st instant, she was passed by the Anna Dixon, running into Hobson's Bay, with a stiff and fair breeze. The vessels were too far apart to communicate. The Alice Brooks, on Monday, 3rd instant, saw three large ships to the southward of Cape Otway steering for Port Phillip, and Capt.Davidson is of opinion that one of them was the mail-ship Red Jacket. Register.
