Journey Notes
Via the Downs (22 June), the chief officer and four hands reached Glenelg by boat on the morning of the 29th, and Lipson despatched the Camilla and Yatala to assist. The wreck and cargo were sold (26 Oct) on the order of Lloyd's Agent. This cargo included ironwork and lead and books ordered for the Mechanic's Institute Library, which obtained them cheap but damaged. About 13 Nov she was lying in the same position as when sold, but hopes she would be recovered were dashed in later storms, and men were sent (6 Feb 1850) by owner R.Burfield in the Joseph Lee Archer to break her up and construct two lighters.
