Port Adelaide June 9. (Before Messrs. J.W.Channon and J.M.Watson) John Rae, Robert Morrison and James Sheridan, three ships firemen were charged on the information of William Alexander, Chief Officer of the steamer Katoomba, with having travelled by the vessel from Fremantle on June 8 without having previously paid their fares. Sgt. Walsh who prosecuted, said the men were discovered stowed away in the holds of the vessel on June 7, when she was between Fremantle and Adelaide. In each case a fine of £3, with 15/ costs, was ordered, in default a week's imprisonment. Register 9/6/1921
