Born Liskeard, Cornwall, England in 1857. Emigrated to South Australia with her parents James and Caroline nee KING aboard the General Hewitt in 1858. Lived Deep Lead, Victoria. Went to New Zealand in 1864 with her parents and 2 younger siblings in 1864 aboard the Claud Hamilton. Married Samuel MEARS at Thames, New Zealand in 1882. Moved to Western Australia about 1900. Lived at Claremont, Perth. Died there in 1932.
