My gt gt granfather Henry Robert Spruce served as mate on this vessel in1863 as well as other vessels, eventually settling in Newcastle NSW where he died in 1908. If there is any further information about his life as a seaman I'd be very interested. He may have also been involved with the rescue boats at Geelong Victoria in the 1800's.
