Thomas Knight Moore is a relative of mine. to me he is my great great great grand-farther from my mum's (Evelyn Hillier) side of the family. Elizabeth Moore (TKM's daughter) married John Hillier.

Thomas knight Moore left Maidstone in Kent on a free passage to Adelaide in July 1838 aboard the Lloyd. He was married at the time to Elizabeth Reader and they had one child Caroline, she was about 2 years old. They arrived in November 1838 and Lived in Adelaide for a year, before moving to Morphett Vale where he purchased land grants and lived and worked as a blacksmith in the area. He later moved to Reynella and purchased land there through the land grants system. He built a two story house there and went on the have more children including; Thomas, Elizabeth and Maria. He's burried at O'Halloran Hill with other family members.
